Spooks has had a hard time lately with no one digging and lots of snow and rain, fortunately one of my old pals has agreed to help me dig along with the Birchwood lads. Progress is slow as i have Uni 5 days a week and Piers (old pal) has work, but things are shaping up nicely so hopefully i can have some pics up in a few weeks.

big things happening this year. two colossal titans colliding like that really sweet film, transformers of something.

shit is getting done sonnn at the woods which is more than savage. digging the last two jumps of prime line now, finishing with ‘optimus prime’  wow this post has a transformers theme to it. once weve stacked the two monsters, which will be alot of dirt, easily the biggest things i have ever stacked, then we can clay the hell out of everything, so much work to do but new team members this year is set to be approx. 5698372091 better than 2010. prime line will easily be the funnest thing ive ever ridden , 13 ( i think) jumps, 6 berms, 1 360 berm, s berms, hips, body jarrers, roasters, puller uppers, skimmers, rollers, ohhhhhhhhh ghaaaaad its gonna be peachy. and then theres the other lines (yet to be named) smalls, and bermageddon.  ddaaaammmmn. judging from facebook and that, people seem to be on it this year! f yea, keep up the sweeet work, peeaaaaace outt! x

So started a new line recently(left line in first photo)! Here are a few photos!

We’ve got a load done over xmas, made a couple of landings taller and finally got round to shaping a new line which we stacked up last winter but never finished.

The council have decided we don’t need planning permission for the trails!

Lots of snow all across the UK seems to have brought things to a halt, at least riding wise. However the frozen tundra makes for good winter digging (once you break through the first 3” or so). Seemed like a good idea at the time, at least you can walk around and not get your feet as covered in mud!

We decided to rebuild the mainline, mostly because the trails run down a hill a bit towards the bottom and speed was becoming an issue. The solution was to upfill the hill so it didn’t fall as much, quite a lot of muck needs to be shifted though. Progress so far :

Cold and wet up north now…time to get the spades out.

Big plans for winter digging, starting with re-doing the mainline then making some redundant lines work again and link into the new stuff. More pics soon, but for now here’s a nice panorama of the big set taking its new shape…
