Just a bit of a teaser from Redhill. We have been digging this spot for many years now. Its not like the scene in the UK we are stuck with only a few builders lots who come and go over the years as well as sandy clay that gets destroyed as soon as it rains. This winter we have been rebuilding the main lines and got the first section running last week.
This was shot over the weekend and was my second time filming and editing. Have a few more vids from some of the other boys i will put up this week some time

So here’s the first competition for Build The Woods.
What we wanted to do was open it up for everyone, rather than serious amateurs/professionals so the winner will be based on creativeness rather than outright photographic skill.
We’re allowing 2months for the competition to allow plenty of planning and weather etc so get your entries in by 31st August 2010.
1st prize will be a complete front end for your bike courtesy of Deluxe BMX, Profile Racing and Cult.
There will be small prizes for second and third.
So what else is left to say? Get snapping and send them in! We will be showcasing the photos on the site as they are sent in!

After many years of trying to get our own spot to build some trails, the wait is finally over. We’ve had a couple of little places before but never with any scope for big things. Having started at various locations and had our hopes dashed by land-owners every time, it is such a relief to finally have come to an agreement with someone. The plot of land we’ve been given is far from perfect (it’s incredibly dense and good soil is hard to come by) and there are plenty of rules to adhere to, but ultimately it’s a legit spot we can call our own. Here’s some little snaps of the place and the work that has been done so far. Welcome to Birchwood!
